About The Position

The Maintenance Aide helps maintain the facility and its grounds, completes repairs and preventative maintenance, and supports a clean and well-functioning environment. The role involves maintaining building exteriors and grounds, repairing or replacing equipment parts, carrying out routine maintenance in resident rooms, and moving materials and equipment. It also includes preventative maintenance of laundry equipment, heating and air conditioning units, ice machines, fire extinguishers, fire and smoke alarms, lawn sprinklers, lawn equipment, and plumbing, in accordance with manufacturer specifications, warranty requirements, and local Health Department regulations. The position is available full-time or part-time, with a stated schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and weekend availability.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license.
Ability and willingness to provide exceptional customer service.
Ability to meet the minimum physical requirements to perform the job duties.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.
Weekend availability.

Responsibilities

Maintain facility grounds and building exteriors on a daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal basis.
Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
Perform routine preventative maintenance in resident rooms to ensure items are in proper working order.
Assist with moving materials, supplies, and equipment.
Perform routine preventative maintenance on laundry equipment, heating and air conditioning units, ice machines, fire extinguishers, fire and smoke alarms, lawn sprinklers, lawn equipment, and plumbing as required by manufacturers and warranty specifications.
Ensure maintenance duties comply with manufacturer specifications and local Health Department regulations.
