About The Position

Heather Heights is seeking a part-time Maintenance Aide to help maintain the facility and keep it in good condition. The role includes upkeep and repair of the building, grounds, resident rooms, and facility equipment. The schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with weekend availability required. Starting pay is $18–$21 per hour, with an additional $2 per hour for weekends.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability and willingness to provide exceptional customer service.
Ability to meet the minimum physical requirements to perform job duties.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.

Responsibilities

Maintain facility grounds and building exteriors on daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal schedules.
Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
Perform routine preventive maintenance in resident rooms to ensure items are in proper working order.
Assist with moving materials, supplies, and equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance on laundry equipment, heating and air conditioning units, ice machines, fire extinguishers, fire/smoke alarms, lawn sprinklers, lawn equipment, and plumbing.
Perform maintenance duties according to manufacturer specifications, warranty specifications, and local Health department regulations.
