About The Position
At Fiserv, the Mainframe Sr. Advisor will help transform financial services technology by leading the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality software applications. The role works with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with business goals and client needs.
Requirements
- 10 or more years of experience in software development.
- 10 or more years of experience in COBOL.
- 8 or more years of experience with IBM tools, monitoring tools, RMF, DB2 utilities, Platinum Detector, or similar tools.
- 10 or more years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the financial services industry.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and expertise in designing, developing, and implementing software applications that support Fiserv's business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform advanced coding, testing, and debugging to ensure optimal application performance.
- Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers and team members.
- Drive innovation and best practices within the software development team.
