The Machine Operator II is responsible for consistently and safely operating machines at or above standard levels of operation, including waste, quality, efficiency, and utilization. This role involves troubleshooting and correcting machine-related problems through proper adjustments, providing innovative solutions for production issues, and offering support and guidance to less experienced personnel. The operator must complete end-of-shift paperwork accurately, account for crewing time, machine time, and production quantities, and be able to inspect and recognize defective products, making necessary machine adjustments. Adherence to housekeeping, standard work, and safety guidelines is essential. The position requires mechanical aptitude, demonstrated problem-solving skills, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
