About The Position

The Machine Operator II sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. The role supports product quality, safe and efficient production, and an orderly work area. The operator may also perform preventive maintenance as specified and participates in safety, continuous improvement, and other programs and meetings.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age.
At least 6 months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED (preferred but not required).
Working knowledge of basic math.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

Ensure the final product meets customer expectations.
Secure and maintain materials and supplies required for operation according to production sheets.
Set up the work area.
Operate and feed the machine safely and efficiently according to established procedures.
Monitor the machine continually to ensure quality.
Stack completed products according to established procedures; when required, cover, label, and band components or finished products.
Use hand tools to complete the assembly process.
Keep the work area safe, clean, and organized, and ensure equipment is safe to operate.
Complete the preshift/startup equipment inspection checklist and report problems or concerns.
Maintain production records as required.
Check materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
Perform duties in accordance with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
Perform preventive maintenance as specified.
Participate in safety, continuous improvement, and other programs and meetings.
