About The Position

The Machine Operator starts, troubleshoots, and operates manufacturing equipment safely. Machine Operator level is determined by experience, ability to take on different plant-floor roles, and demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve machine issues to support efficient cycles and minimal downtime. The role follows standard work procedures, meets production and quality standards, maintains accurate paperwork, and supports safe, clean, and efficient operations.

Requirements

No formal educational requirement.
No prior experience or training required.
Ability to function effectively in a team setting.
Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
Reliability, flexibility, and dependability.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, taste, smell, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Perform work safely by following written and verbally communicated safety rules and procedures.
Follow standard work procedures to operate and maintain assigned machines.
Routinely meet or exceed production output rates per standards.
Ensure products meet required tolerances and specifications.
Perform routine inspections according to quality standards.
Understand production instructions.
Maintain accurate paperwork.
Package, label, and store products.
Cross-train on other production functions as business needs dictate.
Clean and maintain the assigned area to ensure proper functionality.
Report and assist with resolving safety, quality, and mechanical issues.
Participate in the continuous improvement process.
When appropriate, set up and operate various offline and secondary equipment.
