About The Position

The MAC Beauty Advisor drives sales and delivers a positive customer experience by providing excellent service, building client relationships, performing product applications, and offering customized recommendations. The role requires enthusiasm for the beauty and fragrance industry, a competitive drive, and confidence in a fast-paced commission environment. This is an hourly, part-time position. The Beauty Advisor helps achieve store and personal objectives, creates memorable store experiences, builds customer loyalty, executes promotions and outreach, and provides an omnichannel shopping experience. The role also includes developing product knowledge and artistry skills, maintaining merchandise and beauty hygiene standards, supporting store operations and fulfillment, and contributing to a positive team culture. Availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to regularly move around all store areas and remain accessible to customers.
Ability to bend, reach, and stretch for products, and lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs.
Comfort with and enjoyment of assisting customers with makeup application and skincare services.
Must maintain required professional licenses and certifications, including state-specific demonstrator or cosmetology licenses when required by applicable state and local regulatory boards.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and initiative in achieving store objectives and personal and store key metrics.
Create memorable store experiences by building genuine relationships with team members, vendors, customers, and the community.
Build customer loyalty through excellent service, personalized consultations, clienteling tools, and product recommendations tailored to customer needs and preferences.
Execute promotions, special events, and customer outreach to maximize performance and drive sales.
Use selling tools and digital devices to provide a seamless omnichannel experience, and communicate confidently about inventory, assortment, and product details.
Use training tools and brand resources, and incorporate feedback to develop product knowledge, suggestive selling behaviors, artistry skills, and knowledge of industry tips and beauty trends.
Encourage repeat client interactions by serving as a knowledgeable and trusted resource.
Merchandise and replenish products in a timely manner.
Maintain visual merchandising, signing, and beauty hygiene standards in accordance with vendor and company directives.
Contribute to a positive store culture by connecting with teammates, sharing knowledge, and celebrating individual and team achievements.
Adapt and respond flexibly to changing circumstances.
Support selling and store operations by completing other assigned tasks.
Support store fulfillment and asset protection initiatives in designated areas by accurately and efficiently executing omni and operations processes, maintaining product protection standards, and following safety guidelines.
Assist customers with makeup application and skincare services.
Maintain required professional licenses and certifications, including applicable state-specific demonstrator or cosmetology licenses.
