M/S Tele RN - 36hrs. Nights and EOW
About The Position
The Davenport 8 Medical Telemetry Unit is a 37-bed unit caring for patients with primary diagnoses of CHF, Atrial Fibrillation, Pulmonary Embolism, and Pneumonia. Patients may also present with EtOH and Dementia with cardiac co-morbidities, and occasional surgical patients. Patients are often managed with Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, Lasix, and Heparin drips. The unit also cares for NSTEMI, Post-Pacemaker, and Post-Cardiac Cath Lab patients. The RN to patient ratio on Day and Evening shifts is 1:4 with a maximum of 5, and on the Night shift is 1:5-6. The unit utilizes EPIC for charting.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years working in one location.
- Minimum of 2 years working as a Traveler.
- Ability to read Tele Strips.
- Knowledge on cardiac drips.
- Active MA RN License.
- AHA BLS certification.
- Telemetry Certification.
Nice To Haves
- Nursing care for patients post-cardiac catheterization and pacemaker.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients on medical telemetry.
- Administer Cardizem drips, Nitroglycerin drips, Lasix drips and Heparin drips.
- Provide nursing care for NSTEMI, Post-Pacemaker and Post-Cardiac Cath Lab patients.
- Interpret Tele Strips.
- Float to applicable units when needed.
