About The Position
This is a 36-hour position for a Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) working night shifts and every other weekend (EOW). The unit is Davenport 7, a 41-bed Medical Telemetry Unit. The nurse must be able to read telemetry strips. The position offers free on-site parking. The patient population includes Cardiac, Respiratory, Metabolic, Psych, Substance Use Disorder, GU, and GI. The charting system used is EPIC.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in one location.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Traveler.
- Ability to read telemetry strips.
- Current Massachusetts RN License.
- AHA Certified BLS.
Responsibilities
- Work 36 hours per week on night shifts and every other weekend.
- Read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips.
- Administer Cardiac Drips.
- Manage TR Bands.
- Administer Hi-Flow Oxygen.
- Float to applicable units when needed.
- Chart patient information using EPIC.
