Float Pool - M/S Tele RN - 36hrs. Day Rotate and EOW
About The Position
This is a Float Pool RN position for Medical/Surgical Telemetry. The nurse must be willing to float to 8 different units within the hospital, including Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow. The role involves cardiac monitoring, managing cardiac drips, and reading telemetry strips. The patient-to-nurse ratio is up to 5:1 during the day and evening shifts, and up to 6:1 during night shifts. The patient population includes ED border patients, medication nurse duties in an acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented patients in the ICU who are transfer ready. The hospital has a total bed count of 371, with unit census ranging from 8 to 41 beds. The position requires rotation between days and evenings, with 1 to 3 rotations to nights per contract. The electronic medical record system used is EPIC.
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN License
- AHA BLS certification
- 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location
- 2 years working as a Traveler
- Telemetry monitoring including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours
- TR Band experience
- Must be able to perform Cardiac Drips and Reading Tele Strips
