About The Position

Cedars-Sinai Medical Network is seeking an LVN to provide clinical support to primary care and specialist physicians. The role supports patient care through nursing intake, preparation for examinations, medication coordination, basic treatments, patient observation, and communication with providers. The position also contributes to patient advocacy, review of medical assistant skills, and quality assurance and control in the clinical environment.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited Vocational Nurse program.
Valid California LVN license.
BLS certification from the American Heart Association and/or the American Red Cross.
IV/BW (intravenous/blood withdrawal) certification required within one year of hire.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of LVN experience.

Responsibilities

Set up exam and procedure rooms based on patient visit needs.
Perform initial nursing intake and prepare patients for examination.
Review current medications and medical-record documents to prepare patients for examination.
Prepare medical charts and record information relevant to the reason for the visit, including vital signs.
Coordinate prescribed medications, injections, or IV medications using standard processes and provider guidance.
Provide basic patient care and treatments, including taking vital signs, performing diagnostic tests, phlebotomy, and specimen collection as directed by the provider.
Observe patients, document and report changes in condition to the provider, and follow instructions for care.
Evaluate nursing intervention outcomes within the LVN scope of practice.
Answer incoming patient and physician messages with provider input.
Advocate for patients and apply appropriate resources to support their care.
Review medical assistant skills and performance abilities using designated evaluation tools.
Perform quality assurance and quality control measures to maintain compliance in the clinical environment.
