About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a service-oriented Lunch/Dinner Cook for Hotel Skyler. The role prepares food to specifications for lunch and dinner, maintains food safety and sanitation standards, and keeps inventory and storage areas organized. The Cook works with a manager on specials, menu variations, and the lunch menu. This position is tipped eligible. Specific compensation and benefit details will be discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

Previous experience in a similar role is required.
Ability to work Wednesday through Saturday, 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. each week.
Basic understanding of, or ability to learn, workplace sanitation and safety regulations.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Knowledge of food preparation health and safety guidelines.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to work as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

High school education preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain high sanitation standards throughout the area of responsibility.
Keep food storage areas organized and clean.
Ensure food items are handled and stored properly at the end of each shift.
Rotate inventory properly.
Prepare food according to specifications for lunch and dinner.
Maintain clean and orderly storage areas and product pars.
Work with the manager to create specials and other menu variations.
Work with the manager to curate the lunch menu.
Perform other duties as assigned.
