About The Position

The Village at Proprietors Green (VPG), a 149-unit senior living community in Marshfield, Massachusetts, is seeking a dependable Cook for lunch and dinner service. The position prepares and cooks menu items to established standards in a fast-paced kitchen while managing stations and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace. Food quality, presentation, food safety, timely service, and resident satisfaction are important aspects of the role. This part-time position is 24 hours per week, Wednesday through Friday, from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Cook reports to the Executive Chef. VPG is part of Welch Senior Living, a family-owned provider of senior services for over 75 years.

Requirements

Food service training.
At least 2 to 3 years of previous food service experience in a restaurant, assisted living, or health-related facility.
Knowledge of food handling, storage, and sanitation.
Dependability and willingness to work collaboratively as a team member.

Responsibilities

Set up workstations.
Prepare ingredients.
Cook a variety of dishes using different techniques.
Monitor food quality and ensure timely service and resident satisfaction.
Plate dishes.
Clean equipment and work areas after each shift.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace while meeting food safety requirements.
