About The Position

The Lumber Stocker services assigned Lowe’s stores by fulfilling the company’s Stocking Program requirements. This includes stocking Novo materials previously shipped to the store and merchandising lumber and millwork at the Lowe’s in Plattsburgh, New York. The position averages about 15 hours per week on a consistent biweekly schedule, with flexible weekday hours between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The pay rate is $21.50 per hour. Travel to assigned Lowe’s stores in a local geographic region is required. Novo Building Products manufactures and distributes stair parts, mouldings, doors, specialty millwork, and board products. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid, unrestricted driver’s license (other than vision).
Automobile insurance coverage; proof must be provided.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Basic math skills.
Self-motivated.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, or twist; lift up to 50 pounds; lift 100 pounds with equipment or assistance; and push or pull up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Work safely in Lowe’s stores and help protect the safety of Lowe’s personnel and customers.
Be courteous and professional with customers and communicate effectively with Lowe’s store personnel.
Contact the receiving department at assigned stores to confirm product availability.
Stock Novo products covered by the Stocking Program within 36 hours of delivery after the materials are received in Lowe’s system, unless other arrangements are made with authorized Lowe’s representatives.
Retrieve products from inventory, break bundles, and stock products appropriately.
Keep stocked products neat and tidy by straightening and pushing back moulding, returning products to their proper locations, and stocking moulding in the proper bin locations.
Perform culls and ensure Lowe’s has correctly received credit for damaged pieces found during stocking.
Keep aisles free of debris and clean up and properly dispose of bundle ties and other packing materials.
Return carts and cattle racks to their proper locations or arrange for their return.
Participate in requested customer events, such as grand openings, Contractor Days, and product knowledge training.
Assist with store set/reset activity as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
