About The Position

The Lumber Stocker services assigned Lowe’s stores by fulfilling Novo’s Stocking Program requirements, including stocking Novo materials that have already been shipped to the store. The role merchandises and stocks lumber and millwork at Lowe’s stores in Middletown and Camden, Delaware. This is a part-time position with a consistent biweekly schedule averaging about 25 hours per week. The schedule is Tuesday through Friday, with flexible hours between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The position pays $21.50 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license, other than vision restrictions.
• Automobile insurance coverage and ability to provide proof.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Self-motivated.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Work safely in Lowe’s stores and help ensure the safety of Lowe’s personnel and customers.
• Treat customers courteously and professionally.
• Communicate effectively with Lowe’s store personnel.
• Contact the receiving department at assigned stores to confirm product availability for stocking.
• Stock Novo products included in the Stocking Program within 36 hours after delivery and receipt in Lowe’s system, unless other arrangements are made with authorized Lowe’s representatives.
• Retrieve Novo products from inventory, break bundles, and stock products appropriately.
• Keep stocked products neat and tidy by straightening and pushing back moulding, returning products to their proper locations, and stocking moulding in the proper bins.
• Perform culls and ensure Lowe’s has correctly received credit for damaged pieces found during stocking.
• Keep aisles clear of debris and properly clean up and dispose of bundle ties and other packing materials.
• Return or arrange for the return of carts and cattle racks to their proper locations.
• Participate in customer events, such as grand openings, Contractor Days, and product knowledge training, as requested.
• Assist with store set and reset activity as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
