About The Position

The Lumber Stocker services assigned Lowe’s stores by fulfilling Novo’s Stocking Program requirements, including stocking Novo materials previously shipped to the stores. The position merchandises and stocks lumber and millwork at Lowe’s stores in Syracuse and Liverpool. The schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., averaging about 20 hours per week on a consistent biweekly schedule. The role involves traveling to assigned Lowe’s stores within a local geographic region. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid, unrestricted driver’s license, other than vision restrictions.
Automobile insurance coverage and ability to provide proof.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Basic math skills.
Self-motivated.
Ability to work independently.

Prior experience stocking customer stores.

Responsibilities

Work safely in Lowe’s stores and help maintain the safety of store personnel and customers.
Treat customers courteously and professionally, and communicate effectively with Lowe’s store personnel.
Contact the receiving department at assigned stores to confirm product availability for stocking.
Stock Novo products included in the Stocking Program within 36 hours after delivery and system receipt, unless other arrangements are made with authorized Lowe’s representatives.
Retrieve products from inventory, break bundles, and stock them appropriately.
Keep stocked products neat and tidy by straightening and pushing back moulding, returning products to their proper locations, and placing moulding in the correct bins.
Perform culls and ensure Lowe’s has correctly received credit for damaged pieces found during stocking.
Keep aisles free of debris and properly dispose of bundle ties and other packing materials.
Return or arrange for the return of carts and cattle racks to their proper locations.
Participate in customer events, such as grand openings, contractor days, and product knowledge training, as requested.
Assist with store set/reset activity as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
