About The Position

The Lumber Stocker services assigned Lowe’s stores by fulfilling Novo’s Stocking Program requirements, including stocking Novo materials previously shipped to the stores. The position merchandises and stocks lumber and millwork at Lowe’s stores in Middletown and Camden, Delaware. The schedule is flexible on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., averaging about 25 hours per week on a consistent biweekly schedule. The role requires travel to assigned Lowe’s stores in a local geographic region. The employee is expected to work safely, communicate professionally with store personnel and customers, and keep stocked products and work areas orderly. Additional duties may include participating in customer events and assisting with store set/reset activity. Novo Building Products is a manufacturer and distributor of stair parts, mouldings, doors, specialty millwork, and board products. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid, unrestricted driver’s license (other than vision).
Automobile insurance coverage and ability to provide proof.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Basic math skills.
Self-motivated.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, or twist.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and lift 100 pounds using equipment or assistance.
Ability to push or pull up to 25 pounds.
Travel to assigned Lowe’s stores in a local geographic region.

Responsibilities

Work safely in Lowe’s stores and help ensure the safety of store personnel and customers.
Be courteous and professional with customers and communicate effectively with Lowe’s store personnel.
Contact the receiving department at assigned stores to confirm product availability.
Stock Novo products in the Stocking Program within 36 hours after delivery and receipt in Lowe’s system, unless other arrangements are made with authorized Lowe’s representatives.
Retrieve products from inventory, break bundles, and stock products appropriately.
Keep stocked products neat and tidy, return products to their proper locations, and stock moulding in the correct bins.
Perform culls and ensure Lowe’s has correctly received credit for damaged pieces found during stocking.
Keep aisles clear of debris and clean up and properly dispose of bundle ties and other packing materials.
Return or arrange for the return of carts and cattle racks to their proper locations.
Participate in customer events, such as grand openings, Contractor Days, and product knowledge training, as requested.
Assist with store set/reset activity as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
