About The Position

Novo Building Products is hiring a part-time Lumber Stocker to service assigned Lowe’s stores in Medford, Bayshore, and Rosedale, New York. The position fulfills the company’s stocking program by stocking Novo materials previously shipped to stores. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with flexible hours between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., averaging approximately 15–25 hours per week on a consistent biweekly schedule. Pay is $21.50 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid, unrestricted driver’s license (other than vision).
Automobile insurance coverage and proof of coverage.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Basic math skills.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, or twist.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and lift 100 pounds with equipment or assistance.
Ability to push or pull up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience stocking customer stores.

Responsibilities

Work safely in Lowe’s stores and help ensure the safety of store personnel and customers.
Be courteous and professional with customers and communicate effectively with Lowe’s personnel.
Contact the assigned store’s receiving department to confirm product availability.
Stock Novo products included in the program within 36 hours of delivery after they are received in Lowe’s system, unless other arrangements are made with authorized Lowe’s representatives.
Retrieve Novo products from inventory, break bundles, and stock products appropriately.
Keep stocked products neat and tidy, straighten and push back moulding, return products to their proper locations, and stock moulding in the correct bins.
Perform culls and ensure Lowe’s has correctly received credit for damaged pieces found during stocking.
Keep aisles free of debris and properly dispose of bundle ties and other packing materials.
Return or arrange for the return of carts and cattle racks to their proper locations.
Participate in customer events, such as grand openings, Contractor Days, and product knowledge training, as requested.
Assist with store set/reset activity as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
