About The Position

King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort Courtyard by Marriott is hiring a full-time Luau Bartender to provide bartending service for requests from servers at a non-public bar and help create memorable guest experiences. The role prepares, mixes, and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks; sets up and maintains the bar; handles supplies and product storage; and follows applicable liquor laws. The bartender also provides courteous, personalized service and supports other team members and departments. Management may add or change duties as needed.

Requirements

Meet the minimum age requirement for preparing and serving alcoholic beverages; applicants must be at least 21 years old.
At least two years of bartending experience in banquets, events, and/or a hotel food-and-beverage outlet.
High school education or equivalent.
Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale system.
TB clearance card required.
English-speaking or bilingual.
Ability to operate a cash register.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Ability to prioritize, organize, and make sound judgments.
Dependability.

Responsibilities

Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor while providing personalized guest service.
Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
Prepare, mix, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Set up the bar for proper service.
Adhere to applicable liquor laws.
Keep the bar area clean and orderly.
Prepare garnishes by slicing, pitting, or preparing items as needed.
Store all products properly.
Keep supplies and equipment ready.
Report missing or found articles and equipment or property damage to management.
Assist other team members and departments to support the performance of the department, restaurant, and hotel.
Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.
