About The Position

Lake Prince Woods, an award-winning retirement community in Suffolk, Virginia, is seeking a committed LPN to provide hands-on care to residents in assisted living. The position involves medication administration for residents in the assigned area, performed promptly and in accordance with medication-administration policies, physician orders, company and industry standards, and federal and state regulations. The LPN works under the direction of the LPN Unit Coordinator and Assisted Living Director, and under the direction of the Director of Assisted Living. Medication administration excludes injections, medications given through G-tubes, J-tubes, or nasogastric tubes, and IV medications. The role calls for someone who can prioritize residents’ needs, respond proactively, and provide reassuring, considerate support.

Requirements

LPN license required.
BLS certification required.
High school diploma or GED.
At least three months of work experience in basic nursing procedures for assisted living is preferred.
Must be at least 18 years old due to Department of Labor regulations.
Ability to prioritize needs and be responsive and proactive.

Responsibilities
