About The Position

Under the direction of the RN, the LPN assists in providing nursing services to residents at St. Joseph's Addiction Treatment and Recovery Centers' Recovery Campus in Saranac Lake, New York. The role works in a trauma-informed environment and adheres to the organization's Sanctuary commitments, including social responsibility, emotional intelligence, social learning, open communication, democracy, nonviolence, and growth and change. This is a full-time position scheduled Sunday through Thursday from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The pay range is $24.70 to $28.70 per hour. A $5,000 hiring bonus will be attached to an offer; further information is available from Human Resources during the interview process.

Requirements

NYS Licensed Professional Nurse.
Experience working with individuals with substance abuse and trauma disorders.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing services to residents.
Assist with monitoring the facility, residents' activities, and the facility's general status.
Take appropriate action to ensure the safety and well-being of residents and the facility, and document significant activity in the clinical log.
Check residents identified as needing monitoring because of physical or emotional difficulties; take appropriate action based on assessment and document findings in the clinical log.
Offer crisis-intervention counseling to residents as needed, document sessions in the staff log, and report them to a supervisor.
Complete resident incident, accident, or medical emergency forms as required.
Answer phones and provide support to people needing assistance.
Meet regularly with the RN/Health Coordinator for supervision as required by policy.
Assess and monitor residents for signs and symptoms of withdrawal using appropriate withdrawal scales.
Perform other duties as assigned.
