About The Position
Lake Port Square, an upscale senior living life care community located on a 78-acre nature preserve near Lake Harris, is recruiting a hospitality-focused Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for its Assisted Living team. The position provides direct nursing care to residents and delegates and supervises care provided by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). The community supports residents as they transition among independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing care as their healthcare needs change.
Requirements
- Current LPN license valid in the State of Florida.
- Current CPR certification.
- Willingness to be available for any or all community emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and family and social activities, while promoting residents’ independence.
- Identify resident medical and behavioral changes; develop and monitor care plans; and reassess each resident.
- Provide daily reports to the Director of Clinical Services regarding community conditions, personnel performance, resident conditions, and nursing supply needs.
- Provide nursing care according to physician orders, recognized nursing practice, established standards, and administrative policies.
- Ensure residents receive preventive, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services, and coordinate nursing care with services provided by other disciplines.
- Delegate and supervise care provided by CNAs.
- Be available for emergencies concerning the community.
