LPN Extern PRN
About The Position
As an LPN-LVN Extern at Johnston-Willis Hospital, you will be part of the nursing team and provide safe, compassionate patient care while developing your skills and expertise in an LPN-LVN program. As your training progresses, you may take on more complex procedures. The role involves assisting patients with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, and supporting mobility and comfort. You will perform nursing tasks such as wound care, catheter management, and non-medicated procedures as your skills develop. You will document patient information, observations, and changes, and promptly communicate updates to the nursing team. You will also help patients and families understand care plans and prepare for recovery, while maintaining a clean and safe patient environment.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in school to obtain LPN.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Vocational School Graduate.

- Fundamentals and some clinical experience preferred.
Responsibilities
