About The Position

The Loss Prevention Specialist protects the assets of the Distribution Center, with a focus on operational shrink control, internal investigations, safety, and shortage root cause analysis. The role handles a variety of changing assignments, including monitoring warehouse access control, gatehouse and distribution control, operations auditing, and internal investigations. The position takes direction from the Lead Specialist and reports to the Loss Prevention Supervisor. The role includes protecting people, property, and information; investigating theft using CCTV and covert equipment; supporting and auditing trailer yard activities; monitoring alarms, building access, and fire and life safety regulations; and monitoring warehouse access and inbound/outbound freight flow. The specialist partners with operations to reduce shrink through process and inventory support. The position requires discretion with confidential information, attention to detail, analytical decision-making, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multitasking environment. Work may be performed inside and outside in all types of weather.

Requirements

Relevant work experience in Loss Prevention, Asset Protection, or Security, and/or a bachelor’s degree or progress toward a bachelor’s degree in a relevant major.
Ability to handle confidential information.

Nice To Haves

Prior military or law enforcement experience.
Experience working in an industrial setting, such as a warehouse or distribution center.

Responsibilities

Protect company assets, including people, property, and information.
