About The Position

The Loss Prevention Specialist protects the assets of the Distribution Center, focusing on operational shrink control, internal investigations, safety, and shortage root cause analysis. The role includes varied departmental assignments, such as monitoring warehouse access control, gatehouse and distribution control, operations auditing, and internal investigations. The position takes direction from the Lead Specialist and reports to the Loss Prevention Supervisor. The role also partners with operational teams to reduce shrink, supports trailer yard activities, monitors alarms and building access, and helps ensure compliance with fire and life safety regulations. The position requires handling confidential information and working both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.

Requirements

Relevant work experience in Loss Prevention, Asset Protection, or Security, and/or a bachelor’s degree or progress toward a bachelor’s degree in a relevant major.
Ability to handle confidential information.

Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

Nice To Haves

Prior military or law enforcement experience.
Experience in an industrial setting, such as a warehouse or distribution center.

Responsibilities

Protect company assets, including people, property, and information.
Conduct theft investigations, including surveillance using CCTV and covert equipment.
Transact, audit, and support the operational team with trailer yard activities.
Monitor alarm systems, building access, and fire and life safety regulations.
Monitor access control to the main warehouse and inbound and outbound freight flow.
Partner with the business on operational processes and inventory to reduce shrink.
