About The Position

This entry-level position provides hands-on experience and training in freight brokerage within a third-party logistics (3PL) brokerage. The role offers exposure to operations, sales, and support functions through an accelerated training and onboarding program, with mentorship from industry professionals. As employees develop, the company aims to identify their strengths and align them with opportunities across the business to support a long-term career in logistics.

R+L Global Logistics provides domestic and international transportation and logistics services, including full truckload, intermodal/rail, expedited transportation, service to and from Mexico and Canada, trade show logistics, supply chain management, high-value/high-risk cargo, warehousing and fulfillment, value-added services, and customs brokerage.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• No prior logistics experience is necessary; training is provided.
• Demonstrated ambition and eagerness to learn.
• Proficiency with technology platforms, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Strong work ethic and results-driven mindset.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-management skills.
• Problem-solving ability and resourcefulness under pressure.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
• Basic understanding of business, supply chain, or transportation is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Learn the core principles of freight brokerage, including carrier relations, load management, and customer service.
• Support daily logistics operations, including load tracking, scheduling, and real-time problem-solving.
• Partner with sales and carrier representatives to ensure efficient freight movement and exceptional customer experiences.
• Gain exposure to technology platforms and tools used in logistics operations.
• Participate in a structured training program to build knowledge, confidence, and skills.
• Develop professional relationships with team members, customers, and carriers.
