About The Position

The Logistics Operations Coordinator assists with coordinating truck, rail, and international shipments, communicating with shippers and carriers, and providing customer order management and problem-solving support. The role includes coordinating export and import shipments, arranging schedules and tenders with carriers, tracking shipments, maintaining transportation management systems, preparing reports, supporting performance analysis, escalating issues, answering basic billing questions, preparing client invoice packets, and confirming carrier rates.

Requirements

• Communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
• Strong computer skills, including familiarity with MS Outlook and Excel.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months to 1 year of warehouse or logistics experience.
• Outbound dock experience.
• Production, warehouse, or general labor experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating truck, rail, and international shipments.
• Communicate with shippers and carriers.
• Assist with customer order management and problem-solving.
• Assist in coordinating export and import shipments.
• Establish and coordinate schedules with carriers and tender shipments.
• Track and trace all shipments.
• Update and maintain transportation management systems, including SAP.
• Prepare and publish daily and weekly reports.
• Obtain data to assist in analyzing performance trends.
• Proactively identify problems and bring them to management.
• Answer and resolve basic billing questions when needed.
• Prepare client invoice packets.
• Confirm rates with carriers.
