About The Position

The Coordinator – Logistics Operations provides leadership and supervision for distribution center operations, including inbound receiving, storage, inventory, movement, and outbound shipping of products, materials, supplies, and equipment. The role focuses on excellent customer service and general support for the stores serviced by the Distribution Center.

The Coordinator supervises a team of five or more employees, coordinates inbound and outbound activity, maintains accurate documentation and system updates, and helps ensure safe, timely, and efficient warehouse operations. The position is hourly and may involve work beyond eight hours in a day or forty hours in a week. Work hours may change according to business needs and may include flexible morning and/or afternoon/evening shifts. Occasional air and car travel is required.

Requirements

• Proven track record of delivering results, managing teams, and supporting continuous improvement.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Working knowledge of general warehouse safety rules.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well under pressure.
• Proficiency with software applications and transportation systems.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team across all levels and diverse cultures, and to lead team projects.
• Ability to exert 30–60 pounds of force occasionally, 20–30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.

Nice To Haves

• Relevant work experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Warehouse Management System experience.

Responsibilities

• Work within a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Supervise a team of five or more employees and their workflow to maintain maximum service levels.
• Ensure safe and timely loading and unloading of inbound trucks and containers.
• Manage receipt of inbound purchase orders and transfers, including documentation and communication about discrepancies.
• Review daily priorities with leadership and adjust them according to replenishment needs.
• Coordinate labeling and shipment of outbound transfers, including documentation, system updates, and internal and external communication.
• Monitor open warehouse doors to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Conduct daily safety inspections of packaging, product, and equipment.
• Assist the Supervisor with performance management and recognition.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment that meets safety standards.
• Operate powered lift equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with business needs.
