About The Position

The Enterprise Special Services team is seeking an Account Specialist to improve the shipper experience for vendors and sellers using inbound transportation services. The role works directly with shippers to identify issues, develop practical solutions, and improve shipper performance metrics. It supports transportation and logistics innovation by evaluating network defects, coaching shippers, and contributing to performance management initiatives. The position involves daily use and presentation of transportation and performance data, responding to operational disruptions, maintaining shipper documentation, and leading regular calls with shippers and internal stakeholders. The role collaborates with transportation, intermodal, and supply chain partners to resolve issues and improve processes. Training and support are provided for technical and process-related skills. This is a fully onsite, contract-to-hire position based in Tempe, Arizona.

Requirements

Account management experience with a strong customer service orientation.
At least 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a comparable environment is preferred.
Basic data analysis skills, including the ability to interpret performance metrics.
Entry-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with using spreadsheets to navigate and interpret data.
Ability to write clear documents, such as process improvement proposals and operational updates.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain positive relationships with shippers and internal teams.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, including leading calls and presenting data.
Problem-solving skills in transportation, intermodal operations, or supply chain settings.
Organizational skills to manage multiple shippers, daily logs, and recurring meetings.
Customer-focused approach and ability to coach and support shippers to improve performance.
Ability to work through lowest-cost provider options while balancing service quality and operational constraints.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
Comfort working with top-tier customers and supporting high-visibility accounts.

Responsibilities

Monitor, verify, and present transportation and performance data daily.
Resolve transportation disruptions and operational barriers in real time to maintain service levels.
Identify root causes of transportation defects and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain daily logs and documentation for assigned shippers.
Lead weekly calls with assigned shippers to review performance, discuss issues, and align on improvement plans.
Lead Daily Business Review stand-up calls to share updates, highlight risks, and coordinate stakeholder actions.
Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and the shipper experience.
Prepare written documents, including process improvement proposals and performance updates.
Build relationships with shippers through communication, coaching, and customer service.
Coordinate solutions to disruptions across transportation, intermodal, and supply chain partners.
