About The Position

The Logistics Coordinator provides customer service by building and maintaining customer relationships and responding to customer needs and expectations. The role works closely with planning, dispatch, operations, and sales to book freight, keep drivers moving, address potential service failures, and communicate customer updates and needs. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with others and promote a team environment.
• Ability to listen to customer problems, understand them, and provide solutions.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
• Ability to accept constructive criticism and learn from mistakes to improve professional skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Build customer relationships and understand customer expectations and preferences to support stability and long-term growth.
• Book freight with urgency to keep drivers moving daily, reduce layovers, and support efficient and profitable operations.
• Work continuously with the planning group to book freight in advance.
• Identify potential service failures and coordinate with planning and dispatch to resolve issues.
• Provide customers with status updates and solutions to problems as needed.
• Enter data accurately and completely into the TMW system.
• Use customer-issued scorecards to improve service and meet customer expectations.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Monitor customer trailer pools and coordinate adjustments with the planning group.
• Ensure trailer pools can accommodate current and near-future bookings.
• Monitor customer lane and volume commitments and book freight accordingly.
• Obtain and set pickup and delivery appointments when applicable.
• Communicate customer changes and needs to Operations and Sales teams.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
