About The Position

This on-site opportunity is ideal for an Associate-level physician looking to make a meaningful impact in a medical practice dedicated to high-quality maternal and fetal healthcare. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care for high-risk pregnancies, perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of obstetricians, nurses, and specialists to ensure the best possible outcomes for mothers and babies. This position offers exposure to a diverse patient population and access to advanced diagnostic tools within a supportive clinical environment.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical institution
  • Board certification or active candidacy in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Active medical license in the state of Florida or the ability to obtain one prior to the start date
  • DEA certification and eligibility to prescribe medications
  • Strong clinical skills in high-risk obstetrics and fetal diagnostic procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary care team
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based medical care
  • Flexibility to manage a varied locum schedule, including on-call coverage as required
  • Must be board-certified

Nice To Haves

  • Fellowship training in Maternal Fetal Medicine is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient consultations for patients with high-risk pregnancies
  • Perform and interpret obstetric ultrasound examinations, including fetal anatomy scans and Doppler studies
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for complex maternal and fetal conditions
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, and other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
  • Manage acute obstetric emergencies and provide timely clinical interventions as needed
  • Counsel patients and their families regarding prenatal testing results, diagnostic findings, and treatment options
  • Document all patient encounters accurately and maintain up-to-date medical records in accordance with practice protocols
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols
  • Provide coverage for labor and delivery units as part of the locum schedule
  • Educate patients on prenatal health, nutrition, lifestyle modifications, and postpartum care
  • Rounding, orders, NSTs, and overseeing antepartum
