About The Position

This is a contract, on-site position ideal for an Associate-level physician who is ready to step into a dynamic clinical environment and make an immediate impact on patient care. In this role, you will provide specialized cardiology and vascular surgery services within a collaborative medical practice setting. You will work alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, evaluating and treating patients with cardiovascular and vascular conditions while contributing to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. This locum opportunity offers the flexibility of a contract arrangement with the stability of an established practice.

Requirements

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Osteopathic Doctor (DO) degree
  • Associate-level experience in Cardiology and Vascular Surgery
  • Valid medical license in good standing
  • Board certification or eligibility in Cardiology and/or Vascular Surgery
  • Strong clinical diagnostic and procedural skills in cardiovascular care
  • Experience interpreting echocardiograms, vascular studies, and related diagnostics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, on-site clinical team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a contract-based locum assignment
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice
  • Board-certified
  • ACLS and DEA required

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive cardiology and vascular surgery consultations and evaluations
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of cardiovascular and vascular conditions
  • Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests, including echocardiograms and vascular studies
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
  • Perform vascular surgical procedures as required within the scope of practice
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and specialists
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
  • Educate patients and their families on cardiovascular health and disease prevention
  • Adhere to all medical practice regulations, standards, and protocols
  • Participate in case reviews and clinical discussions with the care team
  • Ensure compliance with patient safety and quality care standards
  • Perform interventional procedures and TEEs
  • Take STEMI call
  • Provide consults and daily rounding
  • Interpret nuclear studies
  • Read echos and stress tests
