About The Position

As a Locksmith at MGM National Harbor, you will help keep the property secure and guests safe. This hands-on role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electronic locking systems while providing outstanding customer service. You will manage access control and master key systems, respond to urgent lock and safe issues, and collaborate with other departments to support smooth operations.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience repairing, installing, and maintaining locking devices.
• Possess applicable legal requirements, such as a license, certification, or registration.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, rebuild, and service mechanical or electrical locking devices using hand tools and specialized equipment.
• Determine the proper method for key cutting and duplication, and stamp key codes using an index.
• Issue keys for buildings, equipment, cabinets, furniture, and other uses; maintain records of key assignments and building locks; change lock combinations; and maintain combination records.
• Respond to emergencies involving locks and safes.
• Set up and maintain a master key system.
• Use computer programs for keying and specification writing.
• Maintain locks and locking devices; order key blanks, lock parts, lock sets, latches, and other supplies needed to maintain inventory.
• Inspect building key and locking systems, change combinations on safes and vaults, and provide emergency keying and opening services for locks and safes.
• Comply with current federal, state, and local safety and security regulations, including requirements concerning federally listed lubricants.
• Promote and maintain a high level of customer service and remain attentive to guests’ needs.
