Requirements

  • Understanding of the unique challenges and strengths of rural communities.
  • Ability to meet people where they are and offer real support.
  • Experience leading workshops or training sessions for adults (face-to-face or remote).
  • Confidence in explaining rules, policies, or regulations clearly.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Quicken).
  • Ability to interpret budgets or financial statements, especially in a government or nonprofit setting.
  • Knowledge of planning, coordination, and execution of business functions, resource allocation, and production.
  • Analytical Thinking/Problem Solving skills.
  • Oral and Written Communication skills.
  • Public Service Motivation.
  • Reading Comprehension skills.
  • Experience in accounting, budget administration, financial services, social services, public administration, legal or paralegal services, grant development, and/or providing administrative support to a business, organization, or program.
  • Organizes and leads advocacy efforts with local, state, and federal government entities and elected officials.
  • Self-Management skills: Sets well-defined and realistic personal goals; displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner; works with minimal supervision; is motivated to achieve; demonstrates responsible behavior.
