Requirements

  • One year of experience as a staff assistant to an administrative officer or as a technician in a staff service of a large organization
  • Graduation from a four year college or university, or any equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Meet the PA residency requirement
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions
  • Must pass a background investigation
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening
  • Must submit and have approved satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee clerical staff while coordinating daily workload priorities
  • Manage distribution of assignments and monitor progress to meet operational needs
  • Communicate with agency and county offices to address purchasing, personnel, and payroll matters
  • Review job postings and requisitions while serving as contact for the State Civil Service Commission
  • Maintain confidential personnel files and support accurate tracking of time and payroll changes
