About The Position

The Lobby Bartender is responsible for setting up and maintaining the bar, preparing and serving beverages, providing courteous guest service, processing orders and payments, and securing beverage supplies and cash. Applicants must provide proof of current Safe Serve/TIPS certification.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience as a bartender.
• Current Safe Serve/TIPS certification; applicants must provide proof.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up the bar daily and requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet.
• Maintain stock and prepare and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
• Greet guests courteously, promote and document drink orders, and mix, garnish, and present drinks according to standard recipes and prudent portion control.
• Comply with state, federal, and corporate requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
• Enter orders into the point-of-sale register and create a check for each guest, including guests served by other beverage servers, to maintain accountability for beverages served.
• Receive guest cash, make change, verify charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed to balance funds.
• Lock up and store beverage, food, and other equipment; deposit cash drops; and secure the bank.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
