About The Position

HCW Hospitality is hiring a Bartender at the Residence Inn by Marriott Phoenix Chandler/South. The role focuses on creating a welcoming bar and lounge experience for guests, particularly long-term-stay guests, through attentive service, thoughtful cocktails, light bites, and personal connections. This is a low-volume, relationship-oriented setting where guest preferences and memorable service are central to the experience.

The bartender collaborates with hotel management and distributors on drink specials and monthly events, while maintaining a clean, organized, and stocked bar and following responsible alcohol service, safety, sanitation, company, and local requirements. The position pays $15.15–$15.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Previous bartending experience, preferably in a hotel or guest-focused environment.
• Valid Arizona Title IV certification.
• Passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences through service and conversation.
• Creativity and curiosity about mixology, including experimenting with flavors and presentation.
• Strong communication skills and genuine interest in connecting with others.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a relaxed, low-volume bar setting.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional special events.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Toast POS is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and create an inviting atmosphere in the bar and lounge.
• Craft cocktails, pour drinks, and accurately take and serve food orders with attention to presentation.
• Build relationships with guests, learn their preferences, and encourage loyalty and repeat visits.
• Keep the bar clean, organized, and well stocked.
• Work with the Assistant General Manager and General Manager to create nightly or weekly drink specials that reflect guest preferences and the Residence Inn brand.
• Partner with distributors and management to help plan and execute monthly events or themed gatherings.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards in accordance with company policies and local laws.
• Perform additional duties assigned by management to support hotel operations.
