Lobby Lounge Bartender - Part Time
About The Position
The Pfister Hotel is seeking a part-time Lobby Lounge Bartender to provide gracious, personalized service and create exceptional guest experiences in its Milwaukee hotel. The bartender prepares and serves premium cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages while maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and presentation. The role also involves helping guests choose beverages and food pairings, processing orders and payments, following responsible alcohol service practices and hotel policies, and keeping the bar and lounge areas clean, stocked, and organized. Bartenders support preparation, opening, and closing duties. The position pays $14.43 per hour. Health and benefit packages are available to full-time associates.
Requirements
- Minimum one year of bartending experience in a restaurant, lounge, hotel, or upscale hospitality environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cocktail preparation, spirits, wine, beer, and responsible alcohol service practices.
- Outstanding guest service and communication skills, including the ability to build rapport and create memorable experiences.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple guest requests accurately and professionally.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve premium cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages to quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
- Engage with guests, provide personalized service, recommend menu items, and create memorable lounge experiences.
- Maintain knowledge of beverage offerings, seasonal features, and food pairings; answer guest questions and support sales.
- Process guest orders and payments accurately while following responsible alcohol service practices and hotel policies.
- Clean, stock, and organize the bar, lounge, and service areas; replenish supplies and prepare garnishes.
- Support opening and closing duties.
