Lobby Lounge Busperson
About The Position
The Lobby Lounge Busperson provides professional, friendly, and engaging service in the lobby lounge at Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows. Reporting to Food & Beverage Leadership, this role delivers food and beverages to guests, assists servers with maintaining and resetting tables, and keeps dining, service, and support areas clean and organized. The Busperson replenishes water, condiments, and guest support items, communicates with kitchen, bar, and service teams, and supports opening, ongoing, and closing duties. The position follows food safety, sanitation, and departmental policies, supports outlet operations, and performs additional duties as assigned. This is a permanent, full-time position with an hourly pay range of $17.52–$21.90 USD.
Requirements
- Active Food Handler Certification.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong communication, guest engagement, and teamwork skills.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to remain organized, calm, and professional under pressure.
- Ability to solve problems and support guest-facing service situations.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.

- Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a restaurant busser, food runner, or in a hospitality role.
- Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification, preferred or required based on local regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional, friendly, and engaging service.
- Deliver food and beverage items to guests in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist servers with table maintenance, clearing, cleaning, and resetting guest areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of lobby lounge dining areas, service stations, and back-of-house support areas.
- Monitor and replenish water service, condiments, and guest support items as needed.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen, bar, and service teams to support smooth operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the lobby lounge area.
- Support opening, ongoing, and closing side work duties.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Support overall outlet operations and perform additional duties as assigned.
