About The Position

The Loan Servicing Specialist II supports Loan Servicing, with a focus on financial activities. The role handles loan advances, payments on more complex products, escrow analysis and disbursements, invoice processing, General Ledger reconciliation, and end-of-day balancing. The specialist also responds to internal customer inquiries, provides guidance and training to junior Loan Servicing Specialists, and may work on assigned projects and other duties.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in the loan servicing industry.
Loan system experience, including experience with a document imaging system.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to organize and maintain a high-volume work environment.
Ability to adapt quickly to change and perform in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to build effective relationships to address issues and obstacles.
Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent work-related experience.

Responsibilities

Process loan advances on simplex products, ensuring proper authorization and commitment availability.
Process non-standard loan payments on various products.
Process loan demand statements on simplex products, ensuring principal, interest, and applicable fees are included.
Process loan payoffs on simplex products and close commitments.
Prepare wire instructions and enter them into the Wire System and/or credit funds to the borrower’s deposit account.
Perform escrow analysis as required by state, including appropriate refunds and/or loan amortization.
Disburse escrow payments for taxes and insurance.
Perform MERS activities.
May perform SBA reporting, portfolio management, and disbursement to Colson.
Process miscellaneous maintenance transactions.
Perform end-of-day balancing and ensure activities are reconciled with the General Ledger.
Respond to internal customer inquiries.
Provide guidance and training to junior Loan Servicing Specialists.
Work on special projects assigned by the Manager related to data accuracy and compliance requirements.
May perform other duties as assigned.
