Linen Technicians support patient care by ensuring nurses and hospital staff have clean sheets, towels, gowns, and other linen. The role involves delivering and stocking clean linen throughout the hospital, moving linen carts, collecting soiled linen, and maintaining clean, organized linen areas. Technicians follow safety rules, work with teammates and hospital staff, follow directions, help in other areas when needed, and cross-train in other positions as needed. Dependability, punctuality, and good attendance are important because the hospital relies on the team to keep linen available. This is an active, physical job. Technicians stand and walk for most of their shift; bend, twist, push, and pull throughout the day; push and pull wheeled linen carts weighing up to 800 lbs.; build and stock linen carts; and perform simple math. The job posting lists day shift hours of 5:00 AM–1:30 PM and evening shift hours of 1:30 PM–10:00 PM.
