About The Position

The Linen Transporter ensures linen carts are fully stocked, counts and records terry and linen inventory, and picks up soiled linen from hospital floors. The role delivers clean linen to hospital departments and takes and fills orders from hospital staff. It also involves preparing, aligning, and staging carts, opening new linen for processing, and cleaning the linen room as needed.

The employee is expected to follow Crothall Laundry Services policies, attendance requirements, safety procedures, and universal precautions; maintain a neat appearance and professional, courteous attitude; keep company equipment clean and organized; and report issues affecting customer service or satisfaction. Duties are not limited to those listed in the job description.

Requirements

• Pass a background check.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Be able to push or pull a wheeled cart weighing 650 pounds.
• Be able to work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Build clean, neat, organized carts to the standard par level.
• Deliver clean linen to different hospital departments.
• Pick up soiled carts from all floors when working the second shift.
• Take and fill orders from hospital staff.
• Clean the linen room as necessary, including sweeping, mopping, and picking up.
• Open new linen for processing.
• Align and stage carts as needed.
• Count and record terry and linen inventory.
• Follow company policies, attendance requirements, safety procedures, and universal precautions.
• Maintain a neat appearance and professional, courteous attitude.
• Keep company equipment clean and organized.
• Report problems or issues related to customer service and satisfaction.
• Notify the manager each day the employee is absent and clock in and out within five minutes of scheduled start and stop times.
