About The Position

The Linen Tech provides quality linen service to customers in a timely and professional manner. This on-site, customer-facing position is located inside Corewell Health – Troy. The technician fills, moves, and delivers linen carts to assigned areas throughout the hospital while meeting quality and safety standards and ensuring hospital staff have the linen they need. The role requires reliable attendance for the scheduled first shift, from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The technician may need to work past the scheduled shift when operational or transportation issues arise and may be cross-trained in other positions based on facility needs.

Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 12 hours.
Ability to push and pull linen carts weighing up to 800 lbs. on wheels.
Sufficient manual dexterity to build and handle linen carts.
Ability to consistently bend, twist, push, and pull.
Ability to accurately perform simple mathematics.
Ability to reliably work the scheduled shift and meet the position's physical requirements.

Responsibilities

Fill, move, and deliver linen carts to assigned areas throughout the hospital.
Provide friendly, professional, timely linen service to customers.
Report to work on time and maintain excellent attendance.
Meet established hospital and company standards.
Follow company safety policies and procedures.
Follow directions from team leads and supervisors.

Cross-train in other positions based on facility needs.
