About The Position

The Linen Tech provides timely, professional linen service and products to hospital customers. The position involves filling and moving carts to assigned areas throughout the hospital while meeting quality and safety standards. This is a part-time role at the Grosse Pointe location, scheduled two days per week on the first shift from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Applicants must be comfortable with an early start, punctual, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced hospital environment. The role may require working past the scheduled shift if transportation issues arise.

Requirements

• Be able to stand for up to 12 hours a day.
• Be able to push or pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 pounds on wheels.
• Have sufficient manual dexterity to build linen carts.
• Be able to consistently meet physical requirements, including bending, twisting, and pulling.
• Be able to accurately perform simple mathematics.
• Be comfortable starting work at 5:00 AM.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Fill and move linen carts to assigned areas within the hospital.
• Provide friendly and timely linen service throughout the hospital.
• Meet established hospital quality and safety standards.
• Follow company safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Follow directions from the team lead and supervisor.
• Maintain a positive attitude and work well with a diverse workforce.
• Be punctual and maintain excellent attendance.
• Work past the scheduled shift when needed due to transportation issues.
• Cross-train in other positions according to facility needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
