About The Position

Northside Hospital is an award-winning, state-of-the-art, continually growing healthcare organization. The Linen Tech, II delivers clean linen carts to hospital floors, picks up dirty linen, and ensures inventory levels are sufficient. The role maintains linen records for reporting and accountability and requires thorough knowledge of processes across all shifts. The schedule is 5:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., with rotating weekend work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED), post-secondary education, or one year of work experience.
• One year of experience with linen or inventory.

Nice To Haves

• Basic computer knowledge and the ability to learn appropriate software applications.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to operate a computerized inventory system.
• Ability to use a hand-held scanner to issue and track inventory.
• Ability to react calmly under stressful conditions.
• Ability to relate cooperatively and constructively with clients and coworkers to solve complex problems.
• Ability to work independently and use judgment and problem-solving skills to resolve customer service issues, order discrepancies, and other matters arising in the performance of duties.
