About The Position

The Linen Tech provides quality service and products to hospital customers in a timely and professional manner. The role is responsible for filling and moving carts to assigned areas within the hospital, providing friendly and timely linen service, and meeting quality and safety standards. The position is based at Waukesha Memorial and follows a schedule of Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with Thursday and Friday off. Weekend availability is required. The role requires reliable attendance, punctuality, and professionalism in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Employees may need to work past their scheduled shift, and may be cross-trained in other positions based on facility needs.

Requirements

Able to stand for up to 12 hours a day.
Able to push and pull soiled and clean linen carts weighing up to 800 lbs. on wheels.
Sufficient manual dexterity to build linen carts.
Able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, reaching, and pulling.
Able to accurately perform simple mathematics.
Reliable attendance, punctuality, and professionalism.
Able to work the listed schedule, including weekends.

Responsibilities

Fill and move linen carts to assigned areas within the hospital.
Provide friendly and timely linen service throughout the hospital.
Meet established hospital quality and safety standards.
Arrive on time and maintain excellent attendance.
Follow company safety rules, policies, and procedures.
Work effectively with a diverse workforce and follow directions from the team lead and supervisor.
Maintain a positive attitude and a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Work past the scheduled shift when needed, including when transportation issues arise.
Perform other duties as directed by the manager or supervisor.
Cross-train in other positions according to facility needs.
