About The Position

The Linen Distribution Tech delivers clean linen to hospital departments, fills orders from hospital staff, and ensures linen exchange and soiled-linen carts are handled appropriately. The role also maintains organized linen rooms and carts and reports issues or concerns to a supervisor. An annual flu shot is required.

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 pounds and push or pull a wheeled cart weighing 650 pounds.
• Ability to count and record terry and linen inventory.
• Excellent problem-solving and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced health care environment.
• Annual flu shot is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clean linen to different hospital departments.
• Pick up soiled carts from all floors when working the second shift.
• Take and fill orders from hospital staff.
• Ensure all exchange carts are delivered to the floors.
• Ensure soiled linen is picked up and taken to the receiving dock.
• Ensure soiled carts are full or consolidate them when needed.
• Report issues or concerns to the supervisor immediately.
• Leave the linen room neat and organized at the end of the shift.
• Build clean, neat, organized carts to the standard par level.
• Align and stage carts as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
