About The Position

Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux is seeking experienced cooks to join their kitchen staff. This role is part of the "Heart of House" team, contributing to the restaurant's fast-paced, team-oriented, gameday atmosphere. The position offers flexible hours and schedules, making it suitable for students or individuals with other obligations. There are opportunities for advancement within the team. The ideal candidate will be skilled, organized, creative, and able to work collaboratively to deliver Louisiana-inspired Cajun cuisine. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, as is attention to detail in maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen while preparing and presenting food.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 60 pounds and place items on high and low shelves in storerooms and freezers.
• Ability to stand for 10+ hours
• Ability to work at a fast pace for at least 6 hours consecutively
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and wipe.
• Ability to adhere to uniform guidelines
• Have a reliable form of transportation
