About The Position

Kalapawai Cafe and Deli Waimanalo is hiring for the position of line cook. We seek friendly, well-organized, and energetic individuals to join our kitchen crew. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. This is a full-time position with 36-40 hours per week. The pay rate is $16/hr. plus tips, averaging an additional $4-$6/hr., for a total of $20-$22/hr.

Requirements

• Non-slip shoes
• Prompt attendance is a must
• Flexible availability, weekends, and holidays
• Must be very clean, well organized, and able to move from station to station efficiently
• Food safety and sanitation is key!

Nice To Haves

• Basic knife skills are a bonus but we are willing to train

Responsibilities

• Daily kitchen prep for both lunch and dinner services
• General cleaning and facilities maintenance
• Other duties may be assigned from time to time
• Ability to work in a team in a very fast-paced environment
• Adhere to the chef's recipes and preferred cooking techniques
