About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and organized Line Cook to join our culinary team. The Line Cook will be responsible for assisting the Kitchen Manager and prep cooks in preparing ingredients, ensuring the kitchen is clean and well-stocked, and maintaining high food safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is passionate about cooking, possesses excellent knife skills, and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Requirements

Previous experience as a line cook or similar role in a professional kitchen is preferred.
Knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and proper food handling.
Strong knife skills and ability to handle kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).

Responsibilities

Assist the chef in preparing and organizing ingredients for meal preparation.
Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistent food quality.
Chop, slice, and dice vegetables, fruits, and herbs using proper knife techniques.
Prepare meat, poultry, and seafood by trimming, cutting, and marinating as required.
Measure and assemble ingredients for recipes, including sauces, dressings, and marinades.
Stock and rotate food supplies to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
Clean, peel, and slice produce based on kitchen needs and menu requirements.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling and storage of food products.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely completion of all food preparation tasks.
Assist with plating and presentation of dishes as needed.
Follow all health and safety regulations, including safe operation of kitchen equipment.
Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies as necessary.
Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
